Caersalem Welsh Baptist Chapel
Caersalem began in 1854 as a branch of the nearby Soar Baptist Church and officially opened in 1858 as an establishment in its own right. It was rebuilt in 1877 and has its own burial ground next to the Chapel. However the Chapel has since been sold and converted into a home and the cemetery is no longer maintained. There are a few head stones still standing and a few years ago I was able to photograph them although not able to re plot the area, so I gave them a number and filed them in surname order. Research has provided a few more people who were buried here but I was not able to identify their locations: See UNKNOWN.
The Church bought its first small organ around 1889-90.
